It does exactly what it's suppose to do. Now I can play my bass late at night without disturbing my family and I even bring my bass to work and I'm able to play without disturbing my co-workers. The line in allows me to hook up an Ipod and or my laptop and play along with music and the tone is pretty decent. The headphones are garbage though, so I threw those away and used my Sony stereo headphones and the sound improvement was 100 times better.
