What can I say, it’s not too great. I love the Amplugs (see for yourself with my review of the Amplug AC30) so the cabinet was a no brainer to buy. But it sounds like what it is, a 3’ speaker trying to act big. But at least I can say it's built tough. There is nothing impressive about the sound, it pretty much sounds like all micro amps. One of the reasons I wanted the cabinet was for the kitsch factor, a cool miniature half-stack, but the cabinet is too big for the Amplug to look like a realistic half-stack. Don’t buy the VOX Amplug + cabinet if you’re looking for a micro amp the cabinet is just an extra for someone who already has an Amplug. Besides the VOX I’ve played the Fender mini ’57 twin, the Marshall MS-2 and the Orange CR3. The Orange was the best, mostly because it includes a tuner. The VOX cabinet doesn’t make the Amplug better but it does give you the option to turn your Amplug into a micro amp and it wasn’t too expensive so I’m not too disappointed with my purchase.
