Order an 8 track Digital Portastudio small enough to fit into a guitar case.
Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism I just bought the DP-008. I considered buying the DP-004 but figured for the small price difference why not get 8 tracks in case I need them. Having owned an older HD recorder years ago, I found this unit easy to learn. The menus are simple enough and I like the analog feel with knobs to control everything. I like that it has reverb and EQ available. There are enough features to make it a great unit but not so many to make it a nightmare to learn. So far I have recorded some acoustic stuff with the on board mics, I am impressed with the sound but I am looking forward to pluging in my AKG-1000 condenser mic's this weekend. But I have to say the onboard mic's are pretty good. It is too bad that you have to master it as part of the song and then export it to make it available to download on the PC but I guess it makes sense from a programming stantpoint to make the master track bundled into the song. I imagine it saves space that way since .wav files got pretty large. If your are looking for a unit that for composing or just recording gigs and rehearsals this it the way to go. You can always dump the tracks into a PC based DAW and make the tracks part of a studio project. the sound quality is that good. I use Sonar and will probably rough out tracks on the DP and import them into Sonar and finish recordings with other insturments.
